Employee Insights - Rahul Sonone, Senior Web Developer

At Tecture, we laugh, work hard together, face challenges and prosper. No matter who we are, where we have come from and what our role is, we reside, we bring our whole self to work and be valued every single day.

Well as they say, ‘It’s the will and not the skill’

A company of millennials, our belief stands in innovative ideas that help us prosper, grow and help each other.

As a part of which, once a while we’ll be cherishing the reason why our employees love working at Tecture and what drives and inspires them to give their best for the company.

Starting with Rahul Sonone, Senior Web Developer, JavaScript Framework, plays a vital role in the Trading Elephanto ERP.

Tecture: Rahul, what made you pursue this career?

Full-stack development is possible using JavaScript Framework and I look forward to being one. I remember the day I started on the frontend, I was always sure that this is the field I have always wanted to be.

Tecture: What was your early career like?

The very start of my career was from the backend development, I used to work on core PHP back then. Then my previous company offered me to work on front-end development and I took the opportunity. Initially, I wasn’t as interested but on exploring, I developed interest.

Tecture: Your inspiration?

Trevor Norris, he has some of the best packages in JS. His passion for development in JS is what attracts me the most.

Tecture: Which project did you work on after coming in Tecture?

Elephanto ERP which is a trading ERP, then I worked for the Client from Netherlands Luna BV.

Tecture: What are some of your goals for Elephanto this year?

Making it hassle-free and more user-friendly. Implementing Elephanto into new technologies and making it more secure and fast.

Tecture: How did working on this project help you grow?

Initially, I worked on a single module of an ERP. Here I got an opportunity to develop a complete ERP. What would a developer wish for?

Tecture: Which technology is used for the development of Elephanto?

The technologies used are Angular JS for making single page application, Laravel for making API's and web services, MySQL for database.

Tecture: Are there any new technologies that can be implemented?

This can be shifted to Oracle, as it is used to manage the database. The recent feature of Oracle 12C is helping in full database caching, memory column store and automatic big data caching.

Tecture: What best advice you can give to a junior programmer?

Explore the field and follow a standard for coding. Always optimize the code, ask for help from seniors. Like I see many young faces coming up for internships for the TCDC program and being very inquisitive about development, it feels good that quality is increasing.

Tecture: What has been your biggest achievement in one last year?

Completing one ERP under my work. Elephanto being company's core product, what else one needs when the core product of the company is developed under your vigilance. I take immense pride in that feeling of completion of the project and it’s always worth all the hard work.

Tecture: Any new technologies that will create a boom in near future according to you?

Meteor- the one technology to swear by. This can build an app on any device and can be integrated with any devices. Meteor, or MeteorJS, is a free and open-source isomorphic JavaScript web framework written using Node.js. Meteor allows for rapid prototyping and produces cross-platform (AndroidiOSWeb) code. It integrates with MongoDB and uses the Distributed Data Protocol and a publish-subscribe pattern to automatically propagate data changes to clients without requiring the developer to write any synchronization code. On the client, Meteor can be used with its own Blaze templating engine, as well as with the Angular framework or React library.
